Structure of the Italian language courses
The Standard Plus Italian language courses are combined courses responding to specific needs in the study of the Italian language and are aimed at those who wish to attend a particularly intensive course.
After the morning group lessons (grammar and conversation), the Standard Plus courses continue with individual lessons in the afternoon during which students can deepen their knowledge of linguistic and lexical structures or practise written or oral expression. Classes have a maximum of 8 students (minimum 3).
If you are learning Italian for professional reasons, you can focus on the aspects which interest you and subjects relevant to your needs such as business Italian, hotel and tourism, food and wine language, medical professions, and others.
After studying the language in class, you can meet other students at the school and take part in weekly afternoon activities to learn more about Italian culture, Sestri Levante or nearby towns such as the famous Cinque Terre.
The combined Italian language courses in Sestri Levante are:
The Standard Plus 3 Course which provides 3 individual lessons per week (20 Italian language lessons in group + 3 individual lessons per week).
The Standard Plus 5 Course has 5 individual lessons per week (20 Italian language lessons in group + 5 individual lessons per week).
The Standard Course Plus 10 has 10 individual lessons per week (20 Italian language lessons in group + 10 individual lessons per week).

Course duration
The Combined Italian Courses in Liguria (Standard Plus) have a minimum duration of one week and a maximum duration of one year. It is also possible to combine this course with the ABC language school in Florence.

Courses specifically for exam preparation: Standard Plus 5 or Plus 10
Structure of examination preparation courses
Passing an exam that certifies language ability certainly requires specific preparation under the guidance of a qualified native language teacher. The Standard Plus 5 and Plus 10 exam preparation courses consist of group grammar and conversation lessons in the morning (4 group lessons per day) followed by individual lessons in the afternoon focused on exam preparation.
The ABC school in Sestri Levante is an exam location for the Accademia Italiana di Lingua, for all levels (DELI A1, DELI A2, DILI B1, DILC B1, DALI C1, DALC C1, DALI C2).
The ABC school in Florence is an exam location for the Accademia Italiana di Lingua and also for the CILS exams of the University for Foreigners of Siena.
During the Standard Plus Examination Preparation courses it is equally possible to prepare for the CELI, PLIDA, and any other relevant certification.

Standard Course Plus Lunch
20 Italian language lessons in a group + 3 individual lessons in a trattoria with the teacher
Course structure
The Standard Plus Lunch Course is designed for those who love Italian cuisine and want to continue on from their morning lessons over a plate of pasta with their Italian teacher. The course includes group lessons in the morning (grammar and conversation) in classes with a maximum of 6 students and three lunches a week with the teacher in a trattoria: an easy and pleasant way to speak Italian in an informal environment and to try typical Italian and Ligurian dishes.

Individual lessons Plus in the restaurant: from about 12:45 to 13:40, three times a week.

Super Intensive Italian language Course
30 Italian group lessons + 10 private lessons per week
Course structure
If you are short on time and really want your language study-stay in Italy to be very productive, you can choose our Super Intensive course, which combines the group lessons of the Intensive Course with individual tuition.
Italian classes consist of a maximum of 8 students (minimum 3) and run from Monday to Friday. In the one-to-one lessons you can choose to deal with topics of particular interest to you (specific language for work, exam preparation, general Italian culture, etc.) or practice more on other more difficult topics.
Lesson timetable
Grammar: 9:00 to 10:30 am
Conversation: 11:00 to 12:30
Lunch break
Group lessons in the afternoon from 13:15 to 14:45
Individual lessons in the afternoon from 15:00 to 16:50
Please note that a group lesson lasts 45 minutes and an individual lesson 55 minutes.
The above timetable may vary at certain times of the year or for reasons of school organisation. In the event that the minimum of 3 people for the afternoon group class is not reached, the lessons will be replaced by 3 individual meetings per week for the same price.
Compatible with the timetable of the super-intensive course, there is also the option to participate in extracurricular activities offered every week by the ABC school in Sestri Levante.
