Courses for school groups
Italian language Course for School and College Groups
(20 Italian group lessons + afternoon activity program)
Course structure:
This course is designed to meet the needs of groups of foreign students during their educational trip to Italy, accompanied by their teachers.
The courses can be personalised according to the specific requests of the teachers and of the classes, based on the topics which they have already studied, those which they need to focus on and those which they have not yet studied.
It is also possible to create a program specifically for groups who have never studied the language but who would like to take advantage of their stay in Italy to learn the basics.
After the Italian language lessons in class, students will be accompanied by an ABC school teacher who is also a licensed tour guide to visit the city and teach them about the wonders of Florence.
School groups should consist of a minimum of 6 students.
About the course:
In the morning students attend Italian language lessons in class.
The ABC school uses the direct teaching method which means that everyone, after the first few hours will start to speak Italian using the knowledge they have gained.
We first concentrate on the grammar basics: through texts and many practical examples, students learn the necessary rules for linguistic communication. We also focus on pronunciation, vocabulary and written production.
Educational materials used are original, written and edited by the school with more than 40 years of experience. Sometimes it is adapted to the specific needs (if there are any) of the school groups.
Conversation lessons focus on oral communication: teachers stimulate and encourage students to practice communication, also through activities created to exercise precise linguistic function.
After a lunch break students can join the afternoon activities organised by the ABC school of Italian language so that they get to know Florence better, if it is okay with their teachers.
There can be walks in the historic centre to discover the most famous monuments, panoramic walks in the Piazzale Michelangelo, a visit to the San Miniato al Monte church, a visit to the Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral and a walk to discover the secrets and legends of Florence.
