Italian Language and History of Art
Course structure:
The Italian language and history of art course is a great opportunity to be able to study Italian and be able to get to know the beautiful art of Florence in depth by visiting monumental museums and churches in the city.
About the course:
The first half of the morning is dedicated to studying Italian grammar in classes of maximum 10 students (minimum 3).
The second half of the morning will revolve around history of art.
The teachers who teach the course are history of art graduates and/or are licensed tour guides with great knowledge of the subject.
The history of art lessons are individual and it is possible to choose which historic period or which artist you would like to focus as well as leaving it up to the teacher to decide.
From medieval to Renaissance times, from Giotto to Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli or Michelangelo, Florence offers the possibility to get to know one of the most important historical and artistic heritages of the world.
Those who choose the Italian language and history of art course will visit a different monument every day.
All of the art history lessons are in Italian which is why we would recommend that the student has reached at least A2 level. It it also possible to ask for history of art lessons in English.
Lesson times:
9:00 – 10:30 group grammar lessons (for all courses), every day from Monday to Friday. 11:00 – 12:50 individual history of art lessons, every day from Monday to Friday.
Group lessons last 45 minutes.
Individual lessons last 55 minutes.
Changes to the timetable are possible during certain times of the year and/or for other reasons from the school but will be promptly communicated with the students.
